Privacy Policy
This policy describes the scanner-lite Marketplace package. Enterprise deployments may use additional agreements and deployment-specific data handling terms.
Scanner-Lite Data Handling
Scanner-lite runs inside the customer's Databricks workspace. It writes diagnostic outputs to a customer-owned schema. It does not send query history, lineage, table names, dashboard metadata, user activity, billing metadata, or business metadata to Brickcost or any external service.
Data The Scanner Reads
- Databricks system-table metadata, depending on granted permissions.
- Optional BI metadata supplied by the customer.
- Information schema metadata where available.
- Synthetic demo metadata included in the package.
Data The Scanner Does Not Need
- Production row-level business data.
- Production write access.
- Warehouse, cluster, dashboard, or job edit permissions.
- External network access for scanner-lite.
Optional Enterprise Modes
Paid enterprise deployments can be customer-contained by default. SaaS-assisted inference, if used, must be explicitly approved by the customer and should send only approved metadata or derived features under the applicable commercial agreement.
Public Collateral
Public Marketplace collateral, screenshots, and sample reports must use synthetic data only. Customer telemetry should not be pasted into public issues, support forums, demos, screenshots, or listing assets.
